About Us

For over 70 years, Oldbury Engineering Company Ltd has been supplying high quality ground support equipment and Aircraft production tooling to the UK Ministry of Defence, major aircraft manufacturers and aircraft operators.

We are proud of our heritage, not simply due to the service we have provided our customers throughout this time but also due to the unique way we have developed our expertise and technically challenging problems, as well as continually enhancing and expanding our range ‘ right for the task’ products.

As a MEL Group company. we are able to share our engineering knowledge across the entire group. The centre for engineering excellence at our head offices in Sudbury UK are continuously working with our designers and engineers, making sure that our continuous improvement process delivers the results and provide engineering solutions to all our customers.

The acquisition of Oldbury Engineering, made earlier this year by one of the leaders in the GSE industry The MEL Group, thus providing more new products and services.

OLDBURY ENGINEERING

Oldbury Engineering manufactures products, standard or special, all undergo a rigorous safety appraisal/test programme. We apply the CE mark with confidence, and we also provide a minimum warranty of 12 months.

Many years of experience in the design and production of military aircraft towbars has gone into an exciting new range of towbars for passenger aircraft. Categories I to V are catered for, with maximum interchangeability of towheads and shear pin/bush sets.
